On September 1,
2002, MEHR Iran will sponsor a conference in remembrance of the massacre
of thousands of prisoners of conscience by the Islamic Regime of Iran in summer
of 1988.This
conference will be addressed by US Lawmakers and Human Rights activists.
Fourteen years have passed from this tragedy in which thousands of political
prisoners, were brutally killed so that the Islamic regime of Iran could
continue its mediaeval despotic rule.
This conference is organized to inform the world community of this
horrific crime; a crime that has been overlooked for so many years. The objective
of the conference is to unveil the crimes of Islamic Regime, which is
responsible for these and many other murderous acts. The other
objective is to use this conference to appeal to the
freedom loving people of the world to help us stop the interest-driven Western
governments from supporting the Islamic Regime.
